Rumble, Backed by Tether, to Launch Cryptocurrency Wallet for Creators

Rumble, the video-sharing platform backed by Tether, has announced the launch of Rumble Wallet, allowing creators to receive tips and subscription payments in Bitcoin (BTC) or Tether stablecoins (USDT).

Rumble Crypto Wallet Features

Chris Pavlovski, Chairman and CEO of Rumble, confirmed the wallet launch, highlighting its aim to enhance monetization opportunities for creators. Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino shared additional details, stating, “One cool feature of Rumble Wallet is the use of AI agents to help manage payments, suggest Bitcoin savings strategies based on past activity, and reward the most popular creators.”

Rumble’s move into crypto aligns with Pavlovski’s mission to outdo YouTube by enabling creators to earn more per view. He teased the Rumble Creator Partnership Program, saying, “We think we have the winning formula. This program will focus on hardworking creators and objectivity. Buckle up.”

This bold step positions Rumble as a potential Web3 and decentralized alternative to YouTube, offering better creator incentives and possibly incorporating stronger for ‘freedom of speech’- a cause very dear to the Web3 community.

Rumble’s Crypto Journey

Rumble’s crypto ambitions began after Pavlovski met with MicroStrategy founder Michael Saylor, who advised the platform to include Bitcoin holdings on its balance sheet. Since then, Rumble has moved deeper into crypto space.

The transition from Web2 to Web3 isn’t unique to Rumble. Recently, Elon Musk’s pitched revival of Vine embraced crypto with the launch of VINECOIN, its own memecoin. With the addition of the Rumble Wallet, the platform could seemingly be evolving into a decentralized creator economy model.
